Have you checked out United Way of the Greater Seacoast’s Volunteer HQ?  Volunteer HQ is an easy to navigate, mobile friendly website that allows local volunteers to search for opportunities by zip code, interest area, and more.  This exciting resource is the perfect way for you to find your ideal volunteer position and gives nonprofit agencies the opportunity to get the essential help they need.  Here are some highlights of the most recent opportunities featured on the site, but you can find more on Volunteer HQ at https://supportunitedway.galaxydigital.com/.

Seeking cubicle partitions for students with autism

The Birchtree Center exists to promote independence, engaging relationships, and productive lives for children and youth with autism at home, at school, and in the community. Cubicle dividers and partitions will allow them to create customized individual learning environments for students with autism at our nonprofit's day school in Newington, NH. We welcome donations of used cubicle dividers and partitions, as long as they are sturdy, cloth-covered, and in good condition. We prefer free-standing dividers or pairs of dividers that are configured to form a right angle. Contact Jessica Files Squier for more information.

Revolutionary story time event

Come fire up your imagination with this new program! The American Independence Museum was originally founded in 1991 and is housed in two buildings: the Ladd-Gilman House and Folsom Tavern. The museum’s rich collection includes important letters and documents, portraits, 18th century decorative arts, weapons, and military ephemera. Revolutionary story time is a new program for preschoolers (children 3-5 years old) and their caregivers at Folsom Tavern on October 5th from 9:30-10:30am to read books relating to the Revolution, Colonial history, and beyond. Re-enactor and musician Mike Welch will share books, stories, crafts, music, and more. Due to the historic nature of the tavern, strollers are not allowed. There’s a $5-10 suggested donation and reservations are required.
