ASHLAND, Ky. (FOX 56) – A 19-year-old Carter County man was arrested and charged with sexual crimes related to a minor and animals on Thursday.

Kentucky State Police said troopers from Ashland arrested Jeremiah James on Thursday after a juvenile alleged he sexually assaulted her and witnessed him commit a sex crime with an animal.

The juvenile female told police James gave her alcohol before she was sexually abused, raped, and sodomized in July.

He is now charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, unlawful transaction with a minor, and sexual crimes against animals.

James was booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
