Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has filed a motion asking a federal district court to permanently dismiss a challenge to a controversial abortion law.He's asking the court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a Louisville abortion clinic against a 2018 law, House Bill 454.The law banned dilation and evacuation abortions, a common second-trimester procedure.Cameron argues the lawsuit should be dismissed with prejudice, in light of the recent Supreme Court decision ending federal protections for abortion.Back in March, the Supreme Court ruled he could defend the law.This law is separate from Kentucky's trigger law, which bans most abortions in the state.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has filed a motion asking a federal district court to permanently dismiss a challenge to a controversial abortion law.
He's asking the court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a Louisville abortion clinic against a 2018 law, House Bill 454.
