A new webpage has been launched to collect reports of Social Security payment issues in Nevada.

Attorney General Aaron Ford's office says the webpage will allow Nevadans to report a disruption or other issue with Social Security.

The launch comes as the Trump administration tries to institute broad changes to the Social Security Administration.

SSA recently canceled its plan to end identity verification over the phone for retirement and survivor benefit applications, but the agency is reportedly considering significant cuts to its workforce.

Ford's office says it wants to ensure Nevadans continue to receive their benefits and if the reports collected shows people had their legal rights violated, it could be used as evidence in future litigation.

"Any Nevadan who experiences a disruption or delay in Social Security benefits should inform my office so that, if the time comes, we may be able to take any appropriate action," the attorney general said in a statement. "I will not allow the Trump administration to destroy a safety net that protects hundreds of thousands of Nevadans."
