A child's body has been found by police searching for a seven-year-old boy missing in Mexico for a month.
James Martin Camacho-Padilla, who has autism, disappeared from his grandmother's house in the Juarez area on Sunday January 21.
The youngster had arrived in the country from his home in Washington state a week earlier with his father and two siblings.
Dad Hugo Camacho-Padilla said he had left his son with his grandmother for 10 minutes when the boy vanished.
"That's when she called me to say she couldn't find him," Mr Camacho-Padilla told Univision Seattle .
The distraught dad said James doesn't speak much because of his autism and would probably have kept "walking and walking".
Officers found a pair of the child’s shoes near the Rio Grande a day after the little boy vanished, Mexican newspaper El Mexicano reported.
On Tuesday, police discovered the body of a child near the border in Ciudad Juarez.
Local authorities said they need to study the DNA to confirm if it is the body of missing James.
